First Time massage?
It can be scary going in for your first massage.  I have had many first timers and consider it a privileged to bring this therapeutic benefit into their lives.  Remember this session is all about you.  Do not be afraid to ask questions before, especially during and after.  If you are at all uncomfortable please say so.  Your therapist should also be communicating with you during the session to ensure your comfort.

Massage For Women
Many women know that massage therapy helps reduce pain and improve relaxation; women enjoy nay love massage.  What many do not know is therapeutic massage has been shown  to improve flexibility and range of motion, strengthen the immune system and relieve headaches and migraines in women.  Therapeutic massage for women can also provide relief for a multitude of women specific health concerns such as Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and Insomnia.   Research at The Touch Institute of the University of Miami School of Medicine found that therapeutic massage therapy decreased the occurrence of headaches, sleep disturbances and distress symptoms while increasing serotonin levels in adults with migraine headaches.
In another study of pregnancy massage in depressed women, researchers found that prenatal massage therapy increased levels of the feel-good hormones serotonin and dopamine, decreased levels of cortisol (an indicator of stress) and resulted in an overall improvement in mood.

Not only can massage therapy for men help alleviate stress and tension, but it's also has been shown  to relieve neck and back pain, reduce heart rate and high blood pressure and improve athletic performance in men According to a 2009 study in the Clinical Journal of Pain, people with chronic neck pain reported a 55% improvement after a neck massage a week for ten weeks.
